COMMIT TO JESUS The top prize is fulfilling the destiny and purpose for which God put you on this earth. But the only way you'll be able to do that is to commit your heart and life to serving God and following His plan for your life. A lot of people think Christianity is a religion for when you die. But on the real, it's a faith for living. In the Lord, we can have hope -- when the world and everyboy around us give us no hope, we can have a supernatural hope in God. But if you don't belong to Him, you will find it hard to have a true hope and faith in Him. He promises to take care of His children, which is what you become when you accept Jesus Christ as the sacrifice that God accepts for your sin. Sin separates you from God. Sin is whatever you do or have done that was not God's design or desire for you to do. Sin is not only the things that we do that displease God, like lying, sex outside of His guidelines of marriage, and the like. Sin is a state of being that all humans are born into. And God is not comparing your goodness to your friend's goodness or teacher's goodness, but to Jesus Christ's sinless life. There is nothing you can do that will be acceptable to God unless you do it through Jesus Christ. That's why we must be "saved" by accepting Jesus' sacrificial death before God for our sin. For sin's wages (payment, satisfaction) requires death. But when we accept Jesus' death for our sins, we can also partake of His resurrection and the fact that His resurrection means God accepted his sacrificial death -- and raised Him to live forevermore having purchased for us everything God originally planned for man to have -- health, abundant life here and life eternal. That's the good news! Are you ready to take it to the next level? Good! Let's go to God about it! Pray the following prayer with me. Pray this prayer: Lord, thanks for your love and mercy that has kept me alive so I could get to this point in my life. I realize that I was put on this earth for a purpose -- Your purpose. I want to live for You now. I realize that I am not a good person, but what You see as a sinner. I do wrong things and have done wrong things compared to Jesus. But I accept Him as my Savior. I believe what the Bible says, in that Jesus died for my sin, and You raised Him from the dead to show that You accepted His sacrifice for me. I trust in that fact with all my heart and say it with my mouth. I accept Jesus' sacrifice for my sin, and ask You to now accept me as Your child, forgiving me of my sin. Come into my heart and life by Your Holy Spirit, so that I can be born again, all over again, with Your new life in me.
