Altared Lives Web Site Gets Makeover
The new site design is up! In an attempt to more closely align the image of the ministry with its total vision, the site has undergone a bit of a change. It's more like an extreme makeover, actually. But although the original features still remain, the navigation and layout is more organized and clean.

Hope you are enjoying the new features. If you're an artist, we welcome you to upload your music, CD cover and song list via our Uploads page. If you want some advice and a few laughs, check out our Life Advice page with "Rhema." If you want to peep some Christian hip hop videos, check out the Holy Hip Hop Hour with John the Baptist on our Videos page. The site even has a Guestbook now.

Altared Lives Blog

Peep our new blog with "Rhayma Werd," your virtual hostess. She'll answer questions or make comments about the topics in the blog. Just click her "play" button and be ready for the knowledge she drops. God bless America and every other country when Rhayma Werd gets done.

Really though, sometimes she'll have some cool advice and observations. But sometimes she'll just have a righteous rant. You'll be sure to be blessed whatever zone she's in.

But like any blog, you'll have the opportunity to share your comments. You can even ask Rhayma questions if you you're bold enough.

Altared Lives Mins. Guestbook
Yeah, in these days of social networks, guestbooks are old school. But it's a way to let us and others who aren't part of a network know how the ministry is blessing you. We need to hear that you're praying for us, or in what specific way Altared Lives has touched your heart.

It's a good way to be a blessing to the ministry. Holla atcha girl! We want to hear from you.

Different Beat, Same Drummer

AWE OF THE HEART
by J. A. Jamison*

If He ever forgot about you would you not cease to exist? Is it not He who makes your heart beat? From your mother's womb till now. Awake or asleep, active or stationary, still it beats. What other member is quite like it?

The lungs too are always on duty. But they occasionally rest, if only for a second. The brain also has a never ending task, but it has the ability to change the venue.

If practice makes perfect, the heart only gets better with every beat. You can walk at the slowest possible pace, but eventually you will become tired. Not so for the heart. Oh Lord, how good and perfect is your creation. There may come a time when you don't feel that He's near, when you can't see or hear Him. In those cases you can do as I do and touch your heart. This reminds me that He lives within me, and only because of Him, I live.

*Jamison is an author/writer residing in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He believes that it's OK to dance to a different beat, as long as you dance to the same Drummer (Christ).
